2007 Show Results

The 2007 spring show season was without doubt our best ever and very difficult to repeat.

From six shows, Silverstream won four Supreme Championships including the National Alpaca Expo and the Canterbury Royal.

To cap off a very remarkable season, Silverstream Czar won Supreme Champion Animal of Show at the Canterbury Royal 2007 - this prestigious award has never been won by an alpaca before.

Over 30 Alpacas For Sale

Congratulations to Elliot and Vini

Our son Elliott has recently married Yasheshwini (Vini) from Bangalore. The newly weds will be living at Silverstream and helping out on the farm

Paris For The Weekend Cafe

Sheryl and our daughter Charlotte have opened a new cafe in our local village, Kaiapoi. It is called " Paris for the Weekend" and is open 7 days a week. The cafe serves breakfast, brunches, high teas and even has its own liquor licence. The cafe is located in Charles Street in the old railway station opposite New World.

70 New Cria This Season

The 2016/17 year produced 70 new cria that are on the ground at Silverstream. Sires included Godsend ET (white), Invictus (white), G Force (white), Infinity (dark fawn), Greylord (grey) and Negus (black). There are some absolute stunners in this group.

Popular Alpaca Farmstay

Our two self contained cottages continue to be very busy with an 80% occupancy over the summer months. We are now listed on Expedia and Booking.Com. The alpacas are a real draw card for our Chinese and Singaporean guests.

Grey Herd Sale

Congratulations to WatersEdge Alpaca Stud who recently purchased our grey herd - there have been some lovely cria since born by Silverstream Negus and Greenwood greylord. We still have three young grey males for sale including Silverstream Paeon who was placed second three times and was Supreme Champion Grey at Sheffield.

Now Taking Export Orders To Europe

Silverstream are taking orders now for the next export of alpacas to Europe in late November. We have three MPI licensed quarantine facilities. Silverstream is the only publicly available alpaca quarantine in the South Island.
